Some people know him as AJ. Some people know him as one of the most exciting boxers the world has seen in years. And soon he’ll also be known as the man who led the first ever Lucozade Sport Made to Move Session. So, before the IBF heavyweight champ gets us all moving, let’s find out a bit more about the man behind those muscles.
Our first live workout has now taken place. Watch again and get ready to move with IBF heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua. No equipment needed. No experience necessary. No excuses.
He’s a naturally gifted sportsman
Before he got the boxing bug, Anthony was a keen footballer and athlete. In his early teens he regularly clocked times of under eleven seconds in the 100 metres.
He doesn’t drink, smoke or stay up late and likes to keep to a disciplined routine. On a typical training day that means getting up at 6:30am and finishing at around 8pm.
He eats a lot
During training, Anthony can consume 4,500 calories a day. This includes plenty of veg such as spinach and broccoli, chicken and fish for protein, plus rice and potatoes
He’s ready to get the nation moving
Talking earlier in the year, Anthony said: “There’s so much more to it than boxing training and I’m excited to have the opportunity to share with others how to get the most out of their bodies. Lucozade Sport have some brilliant plans for the future and I’m really looking forward to helping them inspire and improve the nation.”
