CREATE YOUR OWN PACEBAND

HIT YOUR TARGET WITH A PACE BAND

Hitting your target time is all about pacing an even race. And that's where our pace band can help.

It breaks your race into even splits and works out your target time for each mile. For example, if you want to complete a marathon in four hours, you should be running roughly nine-minute miles.

You'll need a stop watch as well as a pace band to keep tabs on your speed. Check your watch every mile - the time on your watch should match the one on your pace band.

These will look like this:

  • Mile 1: 9.09 mins
  • Mile 2: 18.18 mins
  • Mile 3: 27.27 mins

MAKE YOUR BAND

Create your own band quickly and easily. Just select a distance from the drop-down menu - or put in a different distance - then enter how long you plan to complete the race in. Hit 'Submit' - we'll work out your time and distance splits, and create a wristband detailing your pace for you to print out and use.

Pace bands are also a great way to work out what to aim for. If you know your speed over a shorter distance, use the tool to see what time to target in the marathon.
